BeadSnap (https://beadsnap.app) is a free browser-based tool that converts photos into Perler bead patterns. We take your privacy seriously — in fact, we designed BeadSnap specifically so that your data stays on your device.
2. Image Processing
🔒 All image processing happens entirely in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. We cannot see, access, or store your images. Period.
When you upload a photo to BeadSnap, it is read by your browser's local JavaScript engine, converted into a pixel grid, matched to Perler bead colors, and displayed on screen — all without ever leaving your device. If you close the tab, the image data is gone.
3. Information We Collect
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, browser type, device category, and approximate country-level location. This helps us understand how people use BeadSnap so we can improve it. No personally identifiable information is collected through Analytics.
4. Cookies
Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set cookies on your device. These are third-party cookies used for analytics and advertising purposes. We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use browser extensions to block them.
5. Google AdSense
We display ads through Google AdSense to help support this free tool. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. 7. Children's Privacy
BeadSnap does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA) or under 16 (as defined by the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). Since image processing is entirely local and we don't require accounts or collect user data, there is no mechanism through which we could collect children's information.
8. Data Retention
Since we don't collect personal data or images, there is nothing to retain or delete. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google according to their standard retention policies. If you'd like us to request deletion of any analytics data associated with your visit, please contact us.
